There are four grades of membership, (a) Fellow, (b) Associate, (c) Graduate, (d) Licentiate.
Fellowship is the senior grade of membership. Most applicants should be ‘Associate‘ at the time of application but this is not always essential. A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of Nigeria who shall have the right to use the designatory letters, FCMAN, immediately after his name.
(a) He must have completed the examinations of the Institute or such other examinations or examinations as the council may from time to time prescribe and approve.
(b) Be at least 21 years of age.
(c) Have had not less than three years practical experience in Management Accountancy and related work. An Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of Nigeria who shall have the right to use the designatory. letters ACMAN immediately after his name.
As Graduate Member, if they satisfy the council that they have passed the mandatory examinations conducted by the Institute, hold equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions of higher education and are otherwise however, found to be fit and responsible persons by the council
As Licentiate Members, if they satisfy the council that they have passed the Institute’s Foundation Examinations, and otherwise licensure and found to be fit and proper persons to be enrolled by the council, awarded CIMAN MAT CERTIFICATE ACCOUNTING ( ie CIMAN technician certificate).
